He also enjoyed his daily iced coffee from Wawa (3 pumps of liquid sugar and almond milk), General Tso's chicken (no spice) from Hong Kong Gourmet, a nice glass of coke (because Pepsi is NOT okay), and listening to radio classics on the satellite car radio.īob is survived by his wife Lisa two sons, Robert Chase and Grant of Richboro two brothers, Gerard and Beth Palmer (Sarasota, FL and Sodus Point, NY) and Douglas and Mary Palmer (Newark, NY) sister-in-law, Greta and Tom Cesareo (Lawrenceville, NJ) nieces and nephews, Morgan and Anthony Scozzari (Ewing, NJ), Todd and Kim Palmer (Wolcott, NY), Shalon and Carl Tellier (Hilton Head, SC), Jason Palmer (Palmyra, NY), and Daniel Palmer (Newark, NY) cousins, Marcia Fowler (Eustis, FL), Jacqueline Spiegel (Lyons, NY), James Martin (Atlanta, GA), Jocelyn Henson (Newark, NY), and Patricia DeMont (Clifton Park, NY) as well as numerous loving extended family members. Later in life, his favorite memory was the trips the family would take every year, including the cross-country Amtrak train from New Jersey to California, and seeing Yellowstone National Park. He was always ready to help and spend time with his family, such as attending Broadway shows with Lisa, volunteering at Council Rock High School South with the marching band for Grant, or driving with Chase to see the covered bridges and backroads around Bucks County. He wanted to become involved as well, and thoroughly enjoyed his opportunity working as a poll worker in the 2020 election alongside Chase. Bob was heavily involved in their lives and would show off the picture of them in his wallet to anyone he met.īob adored that his family was all involved with public service: Lisa as an educator and school administrator, Grant as a music teacher and band director, and Chase as a city and regional planner and local historian. Together he and Lisa had two amazing children, Robert Chase (born 1995) and Grant (born 1997). He started his own firm in 1989 in Yardley, PA and merged his private practice with Diamond & Associates of Newtown in 1995.īob met his wife, Lisa, at work in 1989. While there, the majority of Bob's work was in the field of preparing financial statements for clients, along with corporate and individual tax returns and tax planning. Missing the milder climate and friendliness of Pennsylvania, he chose to relocate to Bucks County in 1977 and went to work for a central New Jersey CPA firm. During his tenure, he became a Senior Accountant working primarily in the audit area. He often spoke fondly of his time in the Boy Scouts and visiting the Philmont Ranch in New Mexico.Īfter graduating from Bucknell University in 1974, Bob returned to his hometown area of upstate New York to work for the Rochester, New York office of Arthur Andersen. Growing up in upstate New York, he loved his summers spent at Sodus Point and his early jobs working on the Erie Canal locks and learning about the family business, Palmer Distributing.
